Confessions of a Shopaholic - 8ºC

Rebecca Bloomwood is a shopaholic.-Or, the best term would be “she was”. In the end of her story, there is not “And she lived happily ever after!” and yes “And she stop buying ever after!”.

-Do you know what she did? She sold every single piece of clothe that she did know that she would not use that again.

-I mean, why keep clothes in the closet, if you do not use them? It makes no sense!

-And, because of it, in the end, Becky Bloom sold it.

Can we be like Rebecca Bloom? —The answer?: Yes, we can! But even better! If we donate things, and do good stuff for society, and wathever more.

—When we shop, we’re making the store do it more, sell it more and (in some cases) kill animals for it.

—Is not cool. Well, not for US, anyway.

—THE THREE R’S:

—Reduce: Buy just when she needs something.

        Donate that stuff she know she doesn’t use.

        Stop buying imported materials (spend fuel of the airplane).

—Reuse: If she see that that shirt is a little big, or a little small, send to the seamstress. Don’t trash it.

—Recycle: That really beautiful pair of boots is not SO black like it used to be? Glue beautiful stamps on it!! And wathever...

—THE CONSEQUENCES:

—Like we said before, sometimes you buy something that, before, has been made of something uncool.

Animals, planes...

—The imported clothes come out of another countries (of course) and, to be here, they come by plane. Them, na big bus leave them to the shops.

—Waste, waste and waste.

—Animals are beeing killed by humans, to their skins.

—Trees are beeing cuted to make paper, and blah. And, because of it, we need to save paper!

Now... What would WE do,    together, for a better world?

—Practice the 3 R’s

—Plant Trees...

—Buy just what we need.

—Be careful with nature...
